Perspective

Enjoying life from society prospective is disastrous and there is a heavy price to pay. But enjoying life how God planned it is fulfilling and brings honor and eternal benefits. Ecclesiastes helps us to see that God wants us to “enjoy life”. He wants us to chase dreams, but He also wants the right prospective of what that means.

“Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; Walk in the ways of your heart, And in the sight of your eyes; But know that for all these God will bring you into judgment. Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, And put away evil from your flesh, For childhood and youth are vanity. Ecclesiastes‬ ‭11‬:‭9‬-‭10‬

God wants the best for us, but that is only found in Him. Notice Solomon tells us, go ahead go after what is in your heart but do it right, according to truth and reality. God holds us accountable for things that do not line up to His word and plan. Then he says something very powerful, we control our hearts and flesh. We shouldn’t allow stuff in our heart that steals joy too long. Also don’t let your flesh deceive you of what brings pleasure. Yes, we have the ability with the Lords help to control our hearts; those emotions, hurts and desires. We have the ability with the Lords help to discipline our bodies and keep it under control. If we think about it those things are the foundation to good health, creativity and a long and prosperous life.

“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.” Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭23‬ ‭

“But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭27‬ ‭

Adjust your perspective and life will find you, enjoy the journey God has you on.
