Be Who God Made You To Be

Esther was an orphan girl whom God had raised up to save His people. She was highly favored but didn’t realize it. After a year of going through the beautifying process before she was presented to the king, she was given the choice, like the other women. She could take whatever piece of garment she thought might enhance her beauty to impress the king. While other women adorn themselves with expensive apparel, Esther took the simple road, she was just herself.

“Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her.” Esther 2:15

Of course she blew the king away and became queen because it was God’s plan and His favor was on her. How often have do I, do we all feel we need to empress people? We must remember that when God’s favor is on us and we are doing our best to stay in His plan, that we do not need to force doors to open. We simply just need to be ourselves, who He made us to be. There is no need to try to impress anyone but just Love God. Long before we realize it God prepares us for our destiny. No man, no situation, no setback can stop God’s favor and purpose for us. Be yourself and just love God, that’s what people around you need and what will be recognized. You are valuable!

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
