Unstoppable

As king Nebuchadnezzar moves in to capture God’s people, the false prophets were saying that there was no way God would let that happen. Jeremiah on the other hand was warning them all along, that if God’s people didn’t turn from their rebellious ways that God would allow captivity. As the enemy moves in Jeremiah reiterates that God’s word isn’t to be taken lightly and the truth must be spoken not watered down.

“Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” Jeremiah 23:29

Truth is, God’s word hurts sometimes but it’s for our good. If we only listen to the shallow weak teaching and ignore the tough warnings of God, we too can be misled into captivity. Yes, we should preach hope and give positive affirmations, that’s what Jesus came to give. But the truth is we cannot find true life if we ignore warnings God’s word puts in front of us. God loves us and wants us to live free, yet often I see people of God allowing stuff to go on around them that will lead them into captivity if it hadn’t already. I love the hard rebuked of the Lord when I’ve gotten off base; that’s His love for me. God’s word is power and can breakthrough any barrier or stronghold.

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

My challenge is that people turn to God’s word constantly and more when confused, hurting, lost, and facing overwhelming odds. Listen to the assuring love of God, and to anything that God instruct that needs adjusting or eliminated out of their life. God’s word is “fire” that is unstoppable to bring life and hope in any situation. He can breakthrough any relationship, problem, job situation, financial issue or walls that you face and bring life and freedom. That’s What He wants!
